In Izmir, the PSLifestyle Project  has started along with pilot cities in 8 European Countries. The Project aims to ensure the active participation of citizens in the fight against climate crisis.  This is achieved by the free web application – Lifestyle Test via which the citizens find out how their lifestyle  impact the environment. 

In Izmir we have tried out various marketing  strategies  to reach  many  citizens for the Lifestyle test.  The project was launched in İzmir/Turkiye on  April 2023, with the launch of a  video titled “ Move the Earth Overshoot day with PSL”. The video won the National First Price of “Young Reporters  fort he Environment

Since the launch of the project 10.500 tests were done in Izmir. The conversion rate  to plans is about 4%.

Establishing collaborations with organizations- such as municipalities, chambers of commerce, universities, educational institutions - represents our core  promotional campaign. Such collaborations enable us to reach  wide audiences from diverse backgrounds. To give a few examples:

• PSL tool has been conducted among the staff of various Municipalities.
• Under the «Green Campus Strategy» and  Eco-School Strategies.
• Three Universities   implemented  the PSL Tool among faculty students and staff on campus.
• Additionally PSL tool was  conducted   among high school students.
• We  participated in pop concerts and outdoor cinema performances which  enabled us to reach a large number of individuals.
• In collaboration with the  Aegean Business People Organization, we  organized  a four weeks long  New European Bauhaus initiative Event  in Izmir ( 01 - to 22  December 2024) which consisted of 16   workshops  during which  Lifestyle  test was  promoted. 

Our Street team  has been another influential strategy. This is a  group of volunteer climate ambassadors composed of university students  who implement PSL tool  both among their fellow university students and at various events.

Campaign  links  have proven to be highly effective. We presented detailed reports – which add a scientific dimension to the implementation - on the outcomes of PSL implementation to each institution. 

We also  launched  the 'Reduce Your Carbon Footprint for Green Transformation' Camping (December 2023)  in İzmir with five climate activists women.
