4 different workshops, 1 common goal: How we change our way of life for a more sustainable tomorrow
11 November 2024
How can the Lifestyle Test application be integrated into industry, academia, government and civil society in general? This question is to be answered in the four targeted workshops organized as part of the PS Lifestyle programme. The aim of these workshops is to bring together representatives from different sectors - government, civil society, industry and academia - to share practical ideas and solutions for a more sustainable lifestyle.
What are we going to do there?
These workshops will first introduce the LifestyleTest app, designed to help users calculate their individual carbon footprint and receive personalized recommendations on how they can reduce it. Preliminary results from the data we have so far will also be presented. What are the opportunities and what are the threats? How can policy makers, academia, industry and civil society actors in general help to promote a different way of life?
A few words for each workshop:
Academic Community (4-6 October 2024): At the 2nd Conference "The 17 SDGs in Education" the academic community workshop brought together researchers and experts seeking solutions through science. From new technologies to educational tools, the discussion revolved around ideas that can help shape a more sustainable future.
Industry (31 October 2024): The Hearth Summit at the Impact Hub brought together professionals and companies from various industries to discuss how they can make their businesses more sustainable. With an integrated business model the app could help businesses track their carbon footprint and share their results.
Civil Society (5 November 2024): The civil society workshop is aimed at organizations and groups that aim to raise awareness. Here participants share ideas on how we can all contribute to change through everyday actions and local actions.
Government representatives (8 November 2024): In this workshop, representatives from public organizations discuss how they can integrate sustainable practices into their policies and programmes. The discussion focuses on how local and national policy can encourage citizens to adopt greener habits.
