Greece

In response to its co-created Athens Resilience Strategy, Athens was the first city in Greece to develop an integrated climate action plan to help the city and its citizens adapt to climate change. The long term aim of the plan is to enable Athens to be a liveable, attractive and creative city.

Xanthi has hosted Living Labs, and has created action and disseminated information on the PSLifestyle tool. This is actively supported by Athena RC as this is where the unit-branch of Environmental and Network Technologies and Applications (ENTA) is based. The area is suitable for the range of data due to the diversity of nationalities and the socioeconomic layers of citizens.

Heraklion Crete will host a participatory workshop in autumn 2022. As a strong tourist attraction and hub for students and researchers, the city will be an important point of reference for informing citizens about the PSLifestyle tool.

As a city famous for its numerous students and the 3rd largest city in Greece, Patras has the potential to absorb new ideas and practices. In addition, the fact that the Industrial Systems Institute ISI is located there, makes the city ideal for the dissemination of the PSLifestyle tool.

The Greek pilot sites are supported by two project partners: EKPIZO and ATHENA-RIC. EKPIZO’s ultimate target in this project is to provide the resources and tools to help Greek consumers turn their intentions into deeds. The fundamental role of ATHENA-RIC is to build research and development knowledge and devise solutions and technologies for the digital society in Greece.
