Greece

In response to its co-created Athens Resilience Strategy, Athens was the first city in Greece to develop an integrated climate action plan to help the city and its citizens adapt to climate change. The long term aim of the plan was to enable Athens to be a liveable, attractive and creative city.

Xanthi has hosted Living Labs, and has created action and disseminated information on the PSLifestyle tool. This was actively supported by Athena RC. The area is suitable for the range of data due to the diversity of nationalities and the socioeconomic layers of citizens.

Heraklion Crete also hosted a participatory workshop. As a strong tourist attraction and hub for students and researchers, the was an important point of reference for informing citizens about the PSLifestyle offers.
As a city famous for its numerous students and the 3rd largest city in Greece, Patras has the potential to absorb new ideas and practices. In addition, the fact that the Industrial Systems Institute ISI is located there, made the city ideal for the dissemination of the PSLifestyle work.

The Greek pilot sites were supported by two project partners: EKPIZO and ATHENA-RIC. EKPIZO’s ultimate target in hte project was to provide the resources and tools to help Greek consumers turn their intentions into deeds. The fundamental role of ATHENA-RIC was to build research and development knowledge and devise solutions and technologies for the digital society in Greece.
