SITRA
Sitra is an accountable and independent future-oriented Finnish fund that is influential nationally and internationally and acts as a think tank, promoter of experiments and operating models and a catalyst for co-operation. In being accountable to the national Parliament, its future-oriented work is funded with returns on investments based on endowment capital received originally at the behest of Parliament.
Sitra researches and brings together partners from different sectors in open-minded trials and reforms. Its future-oriented work is aimed at making Finland succeed as a pioneer of sustainable well-being.
CSCP
The CSCP (Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production) is an international, non-profit think and do tank. Together with companies, political organisations and civil society actors, the CSCP pursues its mission to mainstream sustainability towards enabling the good life for all.
The focus of the Centre is on enabling sustainable consumption and production patterns. With its collaborative approach, the CSCP accelerates change based on the special expertise of the Centre in the following areas: Lifestyles & Behaviour, Infrastructure, Products & Services, Business & Entrepreneurship and Policy. Within these areas, we work as a think and do tank, specialising in collaborating with diverse organisations around the globe and across sectors. Hot or Cool Institute is a public interest think tank that explores the intersection between society and sustainability, bringing together researchers and practitioners to facilitate solutions to global problems.
It conducts policy research and analysis to ground science-based approaches to sustainable living; coordinates science-communications and outreach on complex sustainability issues; facilitates co-creation of solutions responding to the context-specific nature of unsustainability issues; and designs capacity development for implementation and tools for action.
ICLEI Europe
ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 1,750 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. Active in 100+ countries, it influences sustainability policy and drive local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient and circular development. ICLEI members and team of experts work together through peer exchange, partnerships and capacity building to create systemic change for urban sustainability.
ICLEI Europe provides its members in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and West Asia with a voice on the European and international stage, a platform to connect with peers and tools to drive positive environmental, economic and social change.
EuroHealthNet
EuroHealthNet is a leading partnership of organisations, agencies and statutory bodies working on public health, disease prevention, promoting health, and reducing inequalities. The EuroHealthNet partnership includes 62 members, associate members, and observers from 28 European countries, including 24 EU Member States. The members include national, regional and local public health bodies across Europe, as well as several research centres. EuroHealthNet works on public health and social equity policy, practice, and research, exploring the strengthens and links between them.
LDIF
Let’s Do It Foundation aims to unite the global community, raise awareness and implement true change to achieve our final goal – a clean and healthy planet. It was established in 2011 to support the growth of a civic movement of nation-wide cleanup actions. Over the years it have mobilised 36 million positive-minded, action-orientated people in 169 countries. After calling to life World Cleanup Day – the biggest civic action against waste – it continues working towards a waste free world. While people can have a comparatively similar impact when cleaning, they can have a substantially greater impact as influencers in their communities.
GTF
The Green Tiger Foundation (GTF) was established in 2020 in Estonia as an offshoot of the Let’s Do It Foundation. GTF is a collaboration platform which is designed to boost environmental awareness and create a basis for a green economy. GTF builds on a LDIF Keep It Clean Plan, creating a roadmap of implementation on a national scale, serving as an example to other countries, via collaboration across sectors at three levels: 1.) Representing companies on environmental issues and making suggestions to policy-makers. 2.) Applying change in practice. 3.) Raising environmental awareness.
Athena - RIC
Athena Research and Innovation Center was founded in 2003 as the “IRIS – Integrated Research for the Information Society”, in order to consolidate and further expand the Greek R&D activities and initiatives in the area of Information and Communications Technology.
ATHENA-RIC conducts research in Information, Communication, and Computational Science and Technology, including all areas of data science, automation, robotics, signal processing, artificial intelligence, networking and digital communication, modelling, and simulation.
EKPIZO
EKPIZO – Consumers’ Association “The Quality of Life” is a Greek nongovernmental, nonprofit, and accredited association established in 1988 with the aim of protecting consumer rights and improving their quality of life.
EKPIZO activities have been multilevel and varying, covering comparative testing of food/products, financial-banking, environmental, health, food, energy, consumer education issues, legal advice-support, collective and group actions, participation in national-EU consultations and representation in several official bodies. Gradually EKPIZO has focused on misleading-abusive-illegal practices.
SUSDEF
Sustainable Development Foundation (SUSDEF) is a no profit foundation composed by and mainly focused on green economy enterprises. It has a confirmed experience in elaborating sustainability strategies and energy scenarios at national and international level. SUSDEF counts on a set of experience, knowledge, and credibility, acquired in years of thorough work, which is put at the service of a civil and environmental commitment, especially supporting businesses and organizations sharing a common vision of sustainability and responsibility.
GAPES
greenApes (GAPES) is an award-winning SME delivering digital solutions to promote sustainable behaviours. The greenApes platform allows the measurement and rewarding of real-life sustainablebehaviours, combining gamification, social networking and a digital currency. GAPES works with cities and companies to engage citizens, employees and customers in the achievement of sustainability goals. GAPES is a certified Benefit Corporation since 2016.
DECO
DECO is a non-profit organization created in 1974 with the aim of promoting the legitimate interests and consumers’ rights. DECO’s headquarters are in Lisbon, and it has 7 regional offices (Viana do Castelo, Porto, Coimbra, Santarem, Évora, Faro and Madeira) allowing both national and local intervention to happen. The association’s intervention is organized around 3 main areas: information; education and training; and, representation. Its main target and the centre of all its actions are consumers, but it works with different targets and groups like local authorities, schools and training centres, universities, families, charity organizations, public institutions, among many others.
CCICE
Circular Change (CCICE) is private non-profit organisation based in Slovenia with a strong international network serving as the best entry point for circular economy projects across Europe. CCICE supports the transformation from linear to circular business models. The platform maintains a strong focus on the media industry due to previous experience of key members of staff who worked in various creative industries. This unique combination of competences from creative narrative and design to transformation management and corporate communications has been put to work developing the field of circular economy in Slovenia, where the platform has served as one of the key facilitators for adopting the circular economy as a key strategic direction for the country.
MOL
The city of Ljubljana is the political and cultural heart of the Slovenian nation. It is an important European commercial, business, exhibition and congressional centre as well as the transport, science and education centre of Slovenia. The city is committed to sustainable urban solutions in all fields of public life and its achievements have been recognised also at international level by assigning to Ljubljana the title of European Green Capital 2016. It was also the first European capital to join the Zero Waste Network in 2014.
ZEYDD
Zeytince Ekolojik Yasamı Destekleme Dernegi (ZEYDD) is a non-profit, membership-based civil society organization, based in Izmir. Its main objective is to promote sustainable living and lifestyles that are in harmony with the ecological principles of our planet. ZEYDD, seeks to establish partnerships and alliances with civil society groups, public and private institutions at local, national, and international levels.
